Masca Photo Diary

Masca is a small Indigenous village lodged in the mountains of Tenerife, and definitely one of the best parts of the island. For those into hiking, you can hike from the heights of Masca down to the Atlantic Ocean, or you can start from Santiago del Teide all the way into the small village. If you’re driving, make sure you’re confident in your skills and your car — the twists, turns, and avoiding tour buses are no joke. Every turn we took and every hill we went up was met with a new breathtaking scene.

A Day Trip to Garachico

The small, cobblestoned streets of Garachico are by far my favourite part. When the sky is blue, the buildings shine in the sun, the botanical gardens tucked away in the back of the town are in full bloom, the mountains surrounding Garachico are lush, and locals are wandering or swimming in the natural rock pools.
